Biography

With a soulful voice and lyrics from the heart, singer songwriter Blanca Sandoval has captivated audiences. By means of an unrivaled sound that blends together her Latin musical roots with rock, funk, jazz, and up beat ballads, her bilingual style is extremely diverse and prepared to engage any crowd.

Born while on tour, into an exceptionally talented family. Daughter of Paraguayan singer Chingola Irala with hits “Pajaro Campana”. Father Humberto Sandoval, leader of Los Sandoval, with songs on the billboard charts such as “Verdes hojas del verano” & “niños del pireo” Blanca has music in her blood.

 At the tender age of three, she sang her very first song in Asuncion Paraguay titled "MUCHACHA BONITA". The song was composed by her father. What started unintentional gave Blanca's musical future a whole new meaning. 

With the gift of melody, Blanca has been writing songs since she was 11 years old.  "LATINA Y ORGULLOSA"  has touched many hearts and won gold at the 2005 Festival de la CANCION LATINOAMERICANA of California. In 2006 she earned first place with her song "A VECES"  Also earning TROFEO UNIVISION for her song "VENENO". Her music is a bilingual lyrical experience for everyone.

Blanca's had countless performances all over California, Arizona, Texas, Colorado, New Mexico, South America and Mexico. Sacramento’s sleep train arena, The silver legacy, The Brava theater, Yoshi’s SF, Yoshi’s Oakland. Fox theater’s, Napa’s legendary Uptown theater, The San Francisco’s Great American Music Hall, San Francisco’s very own Bimbos and has headlined Slims just to name a few.

As a child she performed alongside such talent as Lola Beltran, Beatris Adriana, Maribel Guardia. To date she's had the honor to open up for Jagged edge, Malo, Salvador Santana, Pete Escovedo, Sheila E  just to name a few. Blanca is poised on the edge of stardom as the next great bilingual singer songwriter, truly a child of music, soulful, edgy and defiant.
